Outside Club Advisors:
Joseph & Heidi Barrale

Joe and Heidi graduated from the University of Valley Forge in 1985. After pastoring in the Penn-Del District of the Assemblies of God for 5 years they received appointment as Missionaries to Germany where they served for ten years.

In Germany, they planted two churches and participated in dozens of evangelistic outreaches as faculty team members of the Discipleship school for Der Bund Freikirchlicher Pfingstgemeinden (The Union of Free Pentecostal Churches).

In 2000 they transitioned from Germany to Austria where they served as Missionaries to the students at the University of Vienna. They also had the oversight of the pioneering of college student/young adult ministries in Graz and Linz, Austria. They established the Austrian ministry of Students for Christ, the European equivalent to Chi Alpha, for Der Bund der Freien Christengemeinden und Pfingstgemeinden Österreichs (The Union of Free Christian and Pentecostal Churches Austria)

Individually Joe and Heidi have traveled to over twenty countries on three continents.

In 2007 Joe and Heidi transitioned to U.S. Missions/Chi Alpha. As U.S. Missionaries Joe and Heidi have pioneered the Adopt-A-Campus (AAC) ministry. AAC’s goal is to see every Assemblies of God Church in the USA adopt a local college campus in fervent consist prayer.

From 2015 – 2018 Heidi was the team-lead in pioneering the Chi Alpha ministry on the campus of the University of Delaware (UD). She turned that ministry over to Tom and Becky Riegel, a Chi Alpha missionary couple, in 2018. In the Fall of 2022 Tom and Becky stepped away from ministry at UD to pursue International Student Ministry on the campus of Penn State. Since October 2022 Joe and Heidi have re-established themselves as UD Chi Alpha directors.

Joseph has a Master of Arts in Social Science/Organizational Leadership from Azusa Pacific University.

Heidi has a Master of Arts in Ministerial Studies from Global University. In 2013 Heidi completed her training and received certification as a Life/Leadership Coach.

Joe and Heidi have been married since 1985 and are the proud parents of two wonderful adult daughters.
